Dr. Kenneth A. Godwin is a highly specialized, board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon with advanced training in cosmetic breast and body procedures. His extensive experience in aesthetic plastic surgery ensures that his patients will receive results that will surpass their expectations. Dr. Godwin graduated magna cum laude from college before entering Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine where he graduated with honors in 2004. He then completed a demanding 5-year residency in General Surgery, training at several prestigious medical centers in the New York and Philadelphia area; including: Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, Cooper University Hospital, and Deborah Heart and Lung Center. During his residency, Dr. Godwin received top-honors and was appointed chief resident.
Continuing his training, Dr. Godwin went onto complete a highly-sought after and challenging fellowship in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he was awarded the prestigious City Avenue Physicians Award for his dedication to education and teaching of residents and students. This fellowship allowed him to train with some of the foremost leaders in the field of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
During his fellowship years, Dr. Godwin trained at the Philadelphia Hand Center at Jefferson University for Hand surgery. He trained in pediatric reconstructive surgery at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children and complex reconstructive and cosmetic surgery at West Chester Medical Center (Valhalla, NY). As chief resident, he continued training at Crozer-Keystone Health System, Hahnemann University Hospital and St. Mary Medical Center. In addition, Dr. Godwin has extensive cosmetic surgery training; having been mentored by some of the nation’s most sought after aesthetic surgeons in Philadelphia, New York and Detroit.
